About
AIM was born out of necessity.
As longtime auctioneers and asset professionals, Russ Hilk and Adam Alexander have spent their careers walking factory floors, cataloging equipment, and figuring out how to make the most of every job with the tools available. But the tools were never quite right. Everything took longer than it should. Information was scattered, collaboration was messy, and the systems used to manage it all felt like they were built for another industry—or another decade.
So we decided to build our own.
We started with a simple goal: create something mobile, flexible, and made specifically for people working in the field. A tool that didn’t slow you down but actually made your work easier. What started as a fix for our own frustrations quickly became something bigger—a smarter way for auctioneers, appraisers, lenders, and asset managers to track, catalog, and collaborate on physical assets.
Today, AIM is the result of that journey. It’s shaped by years of experience in the auction industry, but guided by the speed and usability of modern technology. We work with a small, focused team that brings together industry knowledge, software design, and real-world experience. Everyone on the team has spent time on-site, solving real problems for real people. That’s by design.
But we’re not just focused on today’s tools—we’re building for what comes next.
Artificial intelligence is poised to transform how the auction industry works. From automated item descriptions to machine-learning-driven asset classification and valuation, AI is changing what’s possible—and we’re leading the charge. Through AIM and our AI-powered tools like PiQ, we’re helping auction professionals move faster, work smarter, and uncover more value from every job.
We’re not just building software. We’re building the future we wish we had 10 years ago—and the one we want to work in tomorrow.
